One of my favorite things to do in the fall is go apple picking.
...Not only is it something to do outside allowing me to enjoy the sunshine and fall-breeze, it also gives me an excuse to bake and cook my bootay off. (As if I actually need an excuse to do so...)
Well yesterday the hubby and I went apple picking with some of our family.
...It was great, except it felt like it was mid-summer. Holy heatwave.Nonetheless it was a good time.
...I even bought my first pumpkin of the season. It is not sitting nicely on our front steps!
Last night I was tired but wanted to make something using the many, many apples we had just picked. I mean seriously, how can you go apply picking and then not immediatly make something with said apples?
I decided to slice an apple, add some cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, chocolate chips, and a sliver of butter before baking it in the oven for 45 minutes.
It resulted in an appley-gooey-chocolatey sweet mess that I are in .2 seconds flat.
I love fall!
What did you do this weekend?

What a fun weekend! That apple dessert looks delish! And so simple! I went to a family Birthday Party on Saturday and then spent Sunday house cleaning. I did manage to sneak away to pick up a few mums and pumpkins to decorate the front on my house though!
